Sun dried tomatoes from Salento, in Apulia. Once picked, the tomatoes are washed, selected, cut and laid on desiccation frames, salted and put in the sun for a few days.
I “Contadini” farm, run today by the third generation, has been founded in one of the most suitable areas for the cultivation of vegetables, in Salento (Apulia), the so-called “land of sun, sea and wind”.
These tomatoes can be used as an ingredient for a tasty starter. They are also excellent on pizza, bruschetta and bread.
