Once harvested, the turnips are washed, blanched, seasoned and potted in local extra virgin olive oil. I Contadini farm, run today by the third generation, has been established in one of the most suitable areas for the cultivation of vegetables in Salento, Apulia. What we particularly love about these producers is their link with the territory and tradition. This product is excellent as an appetizer or a side dish for meat or cheese based dishes. If stir-fried, cime di rapa can be used to season Orecchiette.
